Monitor Geraldo

Geraldo is co-owner of Capoeira School Semente da Senzala in Haarlem since 2003 and has been playing Capoeira for sixteen years and teaching for seven years. He received his  Capoeira "Monitor" title in 2006 from Mestre Sombra of the Associação de Capoeira Senzala de Santos, Brazil. Being born in Santos in the state São Paulo, Brazil he trained under Mestre Sombra until he received his Formada title and moved to Haarlem, NL. He has won several Brazilian championships and featured many times in Brazilian newspapers and on television.  He is a true representative of the Capoeira Culture due to having been trained under Mestre Sombra. His musical talent and passion within the workshops are paramount.  He has participated and taught many Capoeira workshops in Europe and Brazil. Living in a Dutch culture teaching Capoeira culture has also taught him the great impact of culture itself.
